Appointment
Book an appointment for a passport photo on the right side or on the appointment website.
PLEASE NOTE THE DAILY CHANGING OPENING HOURS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL.
In addition to automatic confirmation, all online appointments are also confirmed by the secretary via e-mail as soon as possible during the same day. Please only book appointments for the next 7 days via online booking.
Of course, all appointments for further into the future can also be made by calling or Whatsapp +358 40 576 2015. There are often other appointments available that are not shown here in the appointment system. We try to take care of passport photos immediately without an appointment during the office’s opening hours, which is therefore a good idea to check on our website the same day before your arrival.
Passport photo sessions are now often also at the end of driving lessons between 17:00 and 18:30. Book an appointment online and we will confirm as soon as possible.

Electronic or printed passport photo?
However, you need a printed passport photo if you want or need to renew a passport photo in connection with driver’s license matters at the Ajovarma office. A new passport photo is always required if you do not have a valid passport or identity card.
A printed passport photo is also sometimes required for visas, if this is done at an office. However, several countries have already switched to an electronic visa application, where a passport photo must be uploaded electronically. In this case, upon request, we can also send a passport photo as an e-mail attachment.

How do I apply for a passport online?
- First, always get a passport photo, for example from us, and you will get a photo ID, which should be kept.
- Then go to the web address asiointi.poliisi.fi
- Log in with your bank credentials, certificate card or mobile certificate.
- Choose whether to apply for a passport, identity card or both.
- The system tells you if you need to visit the police station.
- Enter the photo ID I got from the photo studio.
- Choose a pickup location.
- Check the details of your application.
- Pay your passport or identity card as an online payment.
- Press the send button and the application has now been submitted for processing.
- If you need to visit the police station, make an appointment.
- You will receive a notification when your passport and/or ID card is available at the pick-up point you have chosen.
- Thank you for doing business online – it always speeds things up, even when you have to go to a police station to identify yourself.
